OCNS provides a high-quality, developmentally appropriate program for young children. The OCNS staff welcomes its families in our classrooms.* We appreciate that our parents have busy schedules so we offer flexible hours and value the time they volunteer at our schools. OCNS parents value their time with their preschooler and enjoy being a part of the school culture. Parents share their time in the following ways:
1. Being a "Guest Reader" - this is a parent's time to join their child's class for a story. 2. Serving on a committee to plan special events for the children. 3. Participating in fundraising events. 4. Meeting all financial obligations when due and adhering to all OCNS school policies.
In addition, there are more activities for parents who wish to be more involved: Being a room parent Sharing a special talent such as playing an instrument or a special cultural event/tradition.
Please reach out to our teachers if you have any concerns about your family's ability to participate. *Some information may change depending on New Haven County Community Level for COVID-19. All students are required to have new, updated medical forms filed each year.
